How to get a driving licence theory and practical test

The process of getting a driving licence differs from country to country. In Poland there are several different categories that allow to drive various kinds of vehicles. The applicants have to fulfil some basic requirements. First of all they have to be at the age that allows them to apply for a particular type of driving licence. In Poland it's 16, 18 or 21 years old depending on the kind of vehicle. Another obligation is an appropriate medical certificate that confirms, for example, that your eyesight meets the required norms for being a driver or your psycho-physical abilities. Sometimes the health condition of a candidate doesn't exclude this person from having the driving licence but puts some time limits. Then, you have to attend a driving course that consist in learning the law of the road to pass the free theory test test as well as practical driving lessons. All standard courses require the same number of theoretical and practical sessions with the qualified instructor. Before taking the state exam the applicants have to pass the mock theory test and practical exam with their instructor. The real exam also consists of the two parts. When you pass the theory test but fail the practical part you have to retake only the latter one. Unfortunately, only a small number of candidates pass the exam at first go.
